Solution Approach  

1.  Assessment and Planning:

  • Used AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to real-time replicate database for data integrity while migrating. This was to permit the client to operate unimpeded. 
  • Encryption of sensitive data while transporting and storing it in AWS environment. 

4.  Application Migration and Testing:  

  • We implemented the Blue-green deployment process to test applications thoroughly in a new environment before complete switchover. This shortened downtime and prevented application failure risks. 
  • Configured sandbox URLs for client team to test application functionality and not affect real time, making the move seamless for end users.

5.  Failover and Validation:
